They will dance you through a half century of rock and roll with your favorite tunes from the 50’s to the present. Their selection of music makes them ideal for venues that have a wide range of ages such as office parties, bat and bar mitzvahs and weddings. Having performed for community dances, bars, clubs, benefits and weddings, we have seen these rockin’ tunes pack the dance floor every time! Song List Twist & Shout Sunglasses at Night Love Fool Lead Singer Stuart Bodie has been involved with several bands, an a capella group that toured Japan, and several musical theatre productions including the lead role in The Music Man. Stuart is the heart, soul and leader of Out of the Blue. Stuart recently graduated from the Grant MacEwan Music Program where he majored in Recording Arts. Backup Vocalist Melanie Schmidt is a classically trained vocalist and pianist. She has competed in many vocal festivals and often won Gold with Distinction. For eight years, she was a member of the Belle Canto Women’s Ensemble that toured internationally. Melanie also taught vocal, piano and clarinet lessons during and after high school to earn extra money. Backup Vocalist Kerri Bodie is a talented vocalist. Music has been a huge part of her life. She had eight years of Royal Conservatory piano instruction and private vocal lessons. Kerri sang and played keyboards in the band Brand-X that performed in numerous cities in Japan. Drums Scott Arrison, the self proclaimed "Drum Guru of the North", has toured extensively with various rock bands. Scott graduated with a performance major from the Grant MacEwan Music Program and makes his living as a drum teacher. Lead Guitar Jeremy Doody is one of Edmonton's finest guitar players. Jeremy is comfortable in most any style of guitar, including Jazz, Country and Blues, but his specialty is Rock n' Roll. Since Jeremy has joined OOTB, he has improved the band immeasurably with his amazing solos and solid play. Jeremy is a performance graduate of the Grant MacEwan Music Program. Bass Hardworking, easy to get along with and dedicated... Terry Keizer has been playing bass for over twenty years.  Another Grant Macewan Music Program grad, Terry has played with some fairly big names over the years, and we consider ourselves very lucky to have Terry in our band. Keyboards Wes Schmidt is a gifted musician who greatly adds to the chemistry of the band with his perfect pitch and accommodating personality. He graduated with a Recording Arts major from the Grant MacEwan Music Program. He has just graduated from  Computer Engineering at the University of Alberta.
